Welcome to the online home for the Polish American Board of Education of Berks County!

Our Education Board wishes to make all Berks County students of Polish descent aware of the opportunity offered to them through our scholarship program.

Applications are now being accepted for our 2010 Scholarships. The following will be available:

$5,000.00 Mary Oziemkiewicz Memorial Award
$2,000.00 Edward E. Cwiklinski Scholarship


$2,000.00 Stanley B. Lewandowski Scholarship


$2,000.00 PABE Scholarship
$1,000.00 Edward E. Cwiklinski Scholarship


$1,000.00 Dr. Edmund F. Gallman, Jr. Scholarship


$1,000.00 The Robert A. Levandowski Scholarship


$1,000.00 Leon and Stella Zerkowski Scholarship
$1,000.00 Stella M. Hendel Scholarship

All scholarship applications must be returned by Saturday, March 20, 2010. Please see the guidelines and submittal instructions at the Rules link on the left.

The Board extends appreciation to the Honorable Thomas Caltagirone, Joseph and Marianne Gawel, Mark and Carolyn Hill, Gerald and Lina Jarsocrak, Edward and Brenda Legenski, Anna Miller and Edward and Karen Yakaboosky for their generous donations to our scholarship fund.

Special thanks to Jess Cwiklinski for once again sponsoring scholarships totalling $3,000 in memory of her husband Edward.

John Paul II Polish-American Cultural Center

Visit the Berks County Polish-

American Cultural Center, Room 509 at the GoggleWorks, 201 Washington Street, Reading. Everyone is welcome to tour the facility, which is open weekends from noon to 4:00 p.m. (sometimes longer, depending on volunteer staffing)

Polish-American Heritage Committee

All persons are invited to attend the regular monthly meetings held the third Sunday of every month (with some exceptions) in the 3rd Floor Conference Room at the GoggleWorks, 201 Washington St., Reading

The Polish-American Connection

Learn about the latest activities and events taking place in the local Polish-American community -- watch the Polish-American Connection! This monthly TV program can be seen on BCTV (Channel 13 on Comcast Cable), on the first Tuesday of every month from 7:30-8:00 pm, hosted by Tom Gajewski.
